Vltor Weapons Systems
First time offered to the small arms market, a stock system that fits both the standard AR-15/M16A2 rifle receiver extension and the CAR-15/M4 Carbine collapsible receiver extension. Now the operator has the ability to install either the Collapsible Carbine Modstock for close quarter combat purposes or, within seconds, install the fixed Rifle Modstock providing the proper length of pull and cheek weld needed for the distant match shooting. This all can be done with the same firearm receiver without changing the receiver extension.
The Vltor Modstock Kit is widely recognized and preferred by Military and Law Enforcement Agencies.Vltor Basic Mod stock kits include all parts necessary to convert a fixed A2 stock assembly to a basic Military Specification A3 collapsible stock setup. Vltor OD Green matches up well with Tango Down Battle Grips and Foliage Green Rail Cover Panels. Basic MOD stock kit comes with 2 Long Accessory Compartments which are useful in holding spare EOTech batteries and weapon maintenance supplies, etc. The kit includes a Vltor Clubfoot Carbine Modstock, a military specification 5 position receiver extension tube, buffer, spring, receiver extension lock plate, and M4 lock plate nut. The collapsible Carbine Modstock offers the same adjustable lengthsthat the military style stock offers with unlimited mounting options for accessories. The Clubfoot Carbine Modstock Kit is avalible in Black, Tan, and O.D. Green.
Important Note:The Vltor Modstock System will fit only Colt/military dimensioned, collapsible stock receiver extensions. Other makers' collapsible stock receiver extensions will fit improperly and should be considered unsafe to use. These inferior receiver extensions are not recommended for use with the Modstock system under any circumstances.
LEGAL NOTE:The Vltor Modstock system for AR type rifles can be used on some post-ban (1994 Crime Bill) configured firearms. The only Modstock system allowed on a post-ban (1994 Crime Bill) rifle is the Rifle Modstock and only when mounted to a Rifle Receiver Extension (Colt part# SP61574). The use of a Collapsible Stock Receiver Extension on a post-ban (1994 Crime Bill) rifle is strictly prohibited by federal law (Section 922 of title 18, United States Code). Vltor Weapons System recommends the installer and/or the firearm's owner to check with local, state and federal law before attempting installation/possession of any product manufactured or sold by Vltor Weapon Systems .
