this is an excellent rifle. the finish on the rifle was great. the magazine that came with the rifle was moderately scratched, but that''s not a big deal. the stock has some wiggle that is inherent in the design, but i was expecting that. the midwest industries flip-up rear site is pretty good. it has some wiggle front to back when it is in the up position. flipping between the two apperatures was a little difficult, just play with it a bit and it will loosen up. the handguards are good, no wiggle or movement. ar15pro was pretty good, decent shipping time. all around, this is a great rifle, i highly recommend it. the price was great too.

I purchased my Stag Model 2 new, while visiting my son in Salt Lake City, UT. It has performed flawlessly. Stag makes receivers and barrels for most AR-15 manufacturers. Their rifles are very tight and priced right. One thing to look out for: Many retailers will purchase upper and lower separately (saving them selves $100) and then put the rifle together to sell to you. There is nothing wrong with the rifle except that you will end up paying full price. You can order the upper and lower your self and save $100 or insist on a complete rifle from Stag. With the complete rifle you'll receive a plastic gun case and complete documentation from Stag. Another great thing about Stag is that all of their rifle barrels are chrome lined which is Mil-Spec. Excellent if you're someone who waits around for a week before cleaning your weapon. In other words, you aren't going to wear the barrel out on this rifle.
