This AR fires incredibly tight groupings with just the stock iron sites! I was amazed at how tight a pattern I maintained from about 75 yards. I don''t have the best vision and am certainly not a marksman when it comes to shooting. But this AR works incredibly. Does not seem to like aftermarket mags so I would recommend buying Colt''s mags for it. If not, just make sure to tap the mags in your hand to make sure the rounds are all pushed back flush against the back of the mag. Otherwise, you will get a jam. My understanding is that this is the overall flaw with the AR-15/M-16 and has been since the Vietnam war. I know others that swear by RRA, DPMS, and Bushmaster, but I have fired 60 continuous rounds through the Colt and had the barrel get EXTREMELY hot. It STILL fired incredibly tight patterns. The other great thing about this rifle is that it has the 1:7 rifle twist which allows you to shoot the larger 72 grain round which is actually not a bad deer round if within 100-150 yards. 55 gr. is just as accurate. But the 72 grain round is not as accurate within the 1:9 twist barrels that most have. It is the 1:7 twist that makes this the a true law enforcement rifle.

Very happy with this weapon. It comes with the quality you''d expect from Colt. It''s very light and easy to handle. When sighting it in, I was consistently keeping the rounds within a 4 inch circle at 100 yards...and I''m not that good of a shot! The entire transaction with AR15PRO.com was very easy. I''ll definately look to them first before buying another weapon. Thanks!
